Freddie Lang & Derek R. Groomes Endowed Scholarship

The Freddie Lang Groomes and Derek Ramone Groomes Endowed Scholarship is for one deserving student, preferably a single mother, enrolled in the College of Education. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and a major field of study GPA of 2.50 or above. Students must be fully admitted to Teacher Education. Students must submit an essay answering the questions: “What is my primary goal in life and why am I a candidate for this scholarship?” Students must have cleared a Level II background check. Students must have documented evidence of financial need. Students may be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
