Rattler for Justice Scholarship Application for Part-Time Students
Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) College of Law boasts a history of advocacy and activism that is reflected in our mission, as well as in our academics and co-curricular activities. We take pride in attracting and retaining students who want to make a transformative difference in society. We want to honor some of those students and encourage their continued focus on public service in the legal profession and the broader community by offering the Rattler for Justice Scholarships.
A Rattler for Justice strives to shake up the status quo to encourage positive growth, seeks to rattle a few cages to ensure justice is served or serves as a catalyst for change while assisting others in need. If you fit the description of a Rattler for Justice, you’re encouraged to apply for the FAMU College of Law Rattler for Justice Scholarship.
The Rattler for Justice Scholarship will recognize students using their talents and skills to change the world around them, whether on the FAMU College of Law campus, in the Central Florida community, or in legal education in general. The scholarship will provide full in-state tuition for the number of credit hours taken in the Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024 semesters. One (1) part-time student Rattler for Justice Scholarship will be awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year.
To be eligible to apply, students must meet the following criteria:
A current member of the College of Law’s part-time evening program for the incoming class of 2021-2022.
Currently enrolled in the part-time evening program with no more than 22 credit hours as of Summer 2022, including transfer credits.
Expected to graduate in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024.
Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 at the end of the Fall 2022 semester for the part-time evening program.
Social justice experience while in law school.
